TriPeaks Help

TriPeaks is a relatively simple solitaire with a high chance of completing a deal but there is scope for strategic play and optimizing the score.

Layout

The game is played with a single pack of 52 playing cards. The cards are dealt to form a tableau consisting of three overlapping peaks. The remaining 24 cards form the stock.

Object

The object of Tri-Peaks is to transfer all the cards from the tableau to the waste pile, uncovering cards further up the peaks, making them available for play. You win the game when you've removed all the cards from the tableau to the waste pile, demolishing the three peaks.

Rules

All building is carried out on the single waste pile. Any completely uncovered card in the tableau may be moved to the waste pile if it follows either an ascending or descending sequence regardless of suit. Sequences may turn the corner with Kings building on Aces and Aces building on Kings. At any time you can click the top card of the stock and it is dealt to the waste pile allowing building to resume. When the stock is exhausted, and no more building can occur, then the game is over.

Scoring

The first card removed from the tableau scores 10 points, second card in a sequence scores 20, third 30, and so on. Sequences are cards removed without flipping one from the stock. Once you flip a card from the stock the sequence is broken and resets.
If you clear the tableau you score a bonus of 100 points plus 20 times the number of cards left in the stock.
If you undo, the score reverts back to previous move minus 10 points and any sequence count is reset.
